Founded in 2007, Pak Cultural Society is a UK based organisation with a large membership, most of them representing both Pakistani and British-Pakistani origin.
The main objective of the Society is to increase knowledge in Britain about rich and diverse Pakistani culture, arts, history of Pakistan movement, landscapes, monuments and family life in Pakistan. At the same time it promotes community cohesion, unity in diversity, and encourages the Pakistani diaspora to avail of the opportunity of education and learning in the United Kingdom.
It does this through a series of events and meetings/ seminars and Cultural events.
The Society hold Cultural events on the auspicious occasion of Pakistan Day (23 March) and Independence Day (14 August) and Allama Iqbal Day ( each year). Children and young people are the main players in its activities while community leaders, local community representatives, members of Council and Parliament are its regular audience.
The Society also supports research projects and studies undertaken by British Universities and research institutions in areas of health, education, cultural and social development.
